George, what are we going to do with you?

I opened this blogging window with the plan to blast Bush for his nomination of Roberts as Chief Justice. The guy isn't even a Regular Justice yet, and has no time on the greatest court in the land, and you nominate him from the lead position? C'mon. I mean , I can understand not putting a Democratic nominate in as chief justice, certainly not Ginsburg.

And than I said to myself... can you imagine if he nominated Scalia to Chief Justice. Or even Thomas? The outcry would be vicious. So I guess Roberts was his only choice, other than nominating a justice whose postion he doesn't necessarily agree with. (which is asking alot of any politician.)

So I guess Roberts' as nominee isn't as stupid as it looks at first glance.
