I wonder is the average rioter is really that upset about the cartoon, or are just happy for the oppurtunity to loot and cause violence. Like the Rodney King Verdicts, the average rioter probably was less concerned with the fact the police officers were aquitted with how much stuff he could steal from the Korean Grocery store.
While I can understand the opposition to the cartoon by both secular and jihadist muslims, I think it is no accident that the most violent demonstrations have taken place in Libya and Africa.
It's certainly not a mistake that it happened in Nigeria, the biggest oil producer in the African state.
I fail to see how you can "Understand" their opposition. I presume you've seen the cartoons? They aren't exactly the MOST offensive thing that's out there.
