As If They Weren't ALREADY Causing us "Harm and Pain"
Iran Threatens America After Being Referred to Security Council
They may think they see fractures in our strength, but their clearly falling apart themselves. We've successfully pushed through a deal with India, their efforts at fostering civil war in Iraq have so far failed, and they are gonna get called to the carpet on their nuclear ambitions. Even Russia is not being as helpful to Iran as they have in the past. And while I don't believe that the UN will take any serious action (not while China, ever oil hungry, has the veto), it at least ratchets up the intensity of attention on Iran, and pressure on the Iranian regime, pressure which its subjects will feel, and take advantage of hopefully to undermine those who oppress them.
Update: On the subject of our move to close ranks with India, the Toronto Star of course objects.Good thing nobody in their right mind gives even one hair on their left buttcheek what a Canadian paper thinks about it.
