Free Iran

Concert at Harvard

These folks contacted me via email, about a concert they'll be putting on in support for Iranian Civil Rights. And while I personally put a stronger stress on the need to prevent nuclear weapons in Iran, this sort of attention on Iran's dictatorship could certainly not hurt.

Makes me wonder who's behind the concert.

I was a little nervous about that myself. But the subject needs attention. Like I said i disagree with their efforts to seperate the nuclear issue from the rights issue. In my mind they are connected. Success in achieving nuclear weapons will insulate the regime from international criticism on human rights, and will enable for them to crack down fiercely on internal opposition in a way which wouldn't have to be tolerated when they don't have the bomb.

My guess is they picked me up off the RegimeChangeIran.blogspot.com, where i'm on their blogroll. But I can't really say for sure.
