Treason: It used to be a crime
According to Wikipedia, this is the list of people who have been convicted of Treason in the United States.
John Brown, convicted of treason against the state of Virginia
Iva Toguri D'Aquino, who is frequently identified with "Tokyo Rose." Subsequently pardoned by President Ford.
Governor Thomas Dorr 1844, convicted of treason against the state of Rhode Island; see Dorr Rebellion
Mildred Gillars, "Axis Sally"
Hans Max Haupt, convicted of treason and sentenced to life in prison for aiding his son who was a spy for Germany during the Second World War
Tomoya Kawakita, sentenced to death for treason, but eventually pardoned by President Kennedy and deported to Japan
Martin James Monti, USAAF pilot, convicted of treason for defecting to the Waffen SS in 1944.
Sandy Berger, National Security Advisor to President William Jefferson Clinton.
Okay... I added that last one. But explain to me how you can get away with community service for stealing classified documents and hiding/destroying them, in an effort to undermine a congressional investigation into the deadliest attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor? What records of Clinton's presiding over the growth of Islamic-Fascism was worth prison to try and destroy? And it's not like it was an accident, the man stuffed the documents down his pants, and than hiding them under a construction trailer. The suprise to me was that there even WERE documents about Al-Qaeda and terrorism during the Clinton Administration, since its hard to keep records about things you DIDN'T bother to do. Not that Clinton can get all the blame, since Islamic terrorism has been festering since at least the 70s, but still.
Sandy Berger, you are a liar, a thief, and a traitor. If there was any justice in the world a nice man in a black hood would be kicking a stool out from under you right about now.
